Wisconsin adds a quarterback in the class of 2018

MADISON | Wisconsin added its third commitment in the class of 2018 on Wednesday.

3-star quarterback Ben Bryant (La Grange, IL) gave his verbal commitment, joining safety Reggie Pearson Jr. (River Rouge, MI) and safety Trent Ingalls (Menasha, WI) as members of the 2018 class.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound, Bryant chose Wisconsin over an offer from Central Michigan, though several other big schools were showing interest, including Michigan and Michigan State. He’s ranked as the No. 19 pro-style passer in the country by 247Sports.

Bryant is the first quarterback in the class for Wisconsin, but he may not be the only one. Several of the major recruiting sites have indicated that the Badgers plan to continue recruiting signal callers in the 2018 class, with their eyes primarily set on 4-star prospect Jack Tuttle (San Marcos, CA).

When Bryant arrives in the fall of 2018, the Badgers quarterback depth chart should include junior Alex Hornibrook, redshirt sophomore Kare Lyles and redshirt freshman Jack Coan.
