Professor arrested after berating Bielema for loss

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — An Arkansas professor was arrested Saturday night after yelling obscenities at former University of Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema.

Bielema and the Razorbacks fell to Alabama 49-30 and university professor Lawton Nalley confronted Bielema after the loss, telling him “If I had your record I’d be f**king fired. F**k you.”

Nalley wasn’t arrested for his language, but rather for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Those charges are a misdemeanor, carrying a $500 fine and possible 30 days in jail. However, Nalley was booked and released within the hour. His mugshot was released, compliments of KARK 4 News.

Bielema is now 22-22 in his time at Arkansas and has yet to beat Alabama, ranked No. 1 entering Saturday’s contest.

“I’m disappointed for the fans to not give them the win today,” Bielema said.”… We spotted them two to three touchdowns. … Obviously, that is too much to give up to the No. 1 team in the country.”
