Mallards trounce Dock Spiders

The Madison Mallards provided plenty of run support for their pitchers, winning by a score of 14-2. Churchill threw five solid innings, only allowing two runs off of three hits. Relievers Tanner Rogen and Brian Martinez combined to toss four scoreless innings to keep the Dock Spiders at only two runs.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, the Mallards scored eight runs after bringing 13 batters to the plate. David Vinsky was a perfect 3-3 on the night, driving in three runs as well as scoring three himself. Justice Bigbie continued to stay hot, going 4-5 while he also drove in three runs.

The Mallards are back in Madison tonight as they face off against the Dock Spiders, and first pitch is scheduled for 7:05.
