The Madison Mallards pulled off another victory behind six innings of one-hit baseball Monday night. Madison jumped out to a 3-1 lead early in the game, the in the bottom of the third, starting pitcher Brian Morrell worked through at bases-loaded jam.
Morrell was relieved in the fourth and it only took three Mallard relievers to finish off the Rafters. In the six innings of relief, the Mallards only surrendered one run. The most impressive reliever for Madison was Turner French, who struck out four over 2 and 1/3 innings. Jonah Smith finished the game out for the Mallards, notching his second save with the 4-2 victory.
