Wisconsin Bike Week – Women’s Cycling Social

What used to be Bike to Work Week has evolved into Wisconsin Bike Week.  With this evolution, focus has been moved from strictly commuting to work and school…to all aspects of cycling in Wisconsin!  And with that, there are several events in the Madison area throughout the week, ranging from a ride to the Mallards game on Wednesday night to a party at the Capital Brewery on Tuesday night…and a family friendly party at the Zoo on Thursday night.  You can find information on all Madison area Bike week activities on The Active Zone Calendar.

Tonight’s big activity is a Women’s Bike Social at the Brittingham Park shelter, starting at 6pm.  It’s a great opportunity for women to find riding partners, learn more about cycling, and talk to represtatives from area women’s cycling clubs.  Women of all experience and abilities are welcome to come out for an evening of clinics, yoga and free bike checks.  There’s even an opportunity to win some cool raffle prizes.  The party starts at 6 tonight and will be going strong until 8pm.
