Everyone who has ever done a distance event has a very personal reason for doing it. It might be as simple as proving to yoruself that it can be done, it might be reliving high school glory-days as a jock, or maybe rising above high school days when the jocks picked on you. And then there’s the people who take on the challenge to support a cause.
Team in Training offers you the opportunity to train for a marathon, half-marathon, triathlon or distance cycling event while supporting the fight against blood cancers. There are great advantages to Team in Training, especially if you are new to this endurance sport thing. First off | you’re training with a group of people who are going through exactly the same thing as you, so you’re never alone in your journey. You’re also guided by trainied and experienced coaches, who will help you over those little bumps in the road. And of course, there is the cause | Team in Training raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help fight blood cancers by funding research and providing education and patient services. Your run will help the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in their mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
